The Living Room launches new Cocktail Menu

The Sex & The City girls will be right at home at The Living Room with its delectable new summer cocktail menu.  Carrie & Co’s favourite ‘the Cosmopolitan’ remains but is joined by new creations including ‘Mexican Rose’, ‘Blackberry Sidecar’ and the ‘Kokonut Daiquiri’ amongst other delights.

Coinciding with the long awaited movie sequel, the bar and restaurant brand has revamped its drinks menu to feature a tempting range of more than 90 classic and contemporary cocktails.

In addition, bar staff are being trained in the art of mixology at the newly-created Living Room Cocktail Academy, which focuses on both product knowledge and the all-important flair which turns a drink into a work of art.

The list includes whole sections devoted to Martinis, Daiquiris and Bloody Marys, as well as specialities such as sparkling cocktails made with Champagne, and even hot alcoholic drinks mixed with coffee and hot chocolate.

Maria Williams, Marketing Manager for The Living Room, said: “We've created a list containing some of the World’s finest cocktails together with a number of signature recipes that are exclusive to us; all of our cocktails are made with iconic brands together with an increasing number of fresh fruits, herbs and spices.”

For example, The Living Room Iced Tea, made with a combination of Russian Standard vodka, Beefeater gin, Bacardi Gold and Chambord liqueur, with a hint of passion fruit and topped with lemon, grapefruit and apple juice, offers genuine value for money at just £6.95.

“We’re targeting discerning customers who appreciate the finer things.  Our customers are far more interested in enjoying high quality, good value drinks with their friends and colleagues.”

Maria adds: “The key to enjoying a great cocktail is to see it mixed to order by an expert.  The  Living Room Cocktail Academy will ensure that our bars have the best-trained staff in town. Our cocktail bartenders will be fully trained on the basics, but they’ll also be trained to serve multi customers whilst developing flairing skills to improve the bar experience and add theatre."

Groups of customers can also order spirits by the bottle to share, including vodka, malt whisky, cognacs and authentic bourbons. In keeping with The Living Room’s support for responsible drinking, bottles of spirit sold must be to a minimum party size of four, who must be seated.

The Living Room is also re-launching ‘signature list’, a promotion focussed on the after work crowd offering a select range of house favourites at irresistible prices.

She ends, “Whether it’s a great gin & tonic or a bottle of Laurent Perrier Grand Seicle Champagne, we treat every customer and drink with the same respect. That’s what sets The Living Room apart.”
