The launch of Newcastle’s newest nightspot Bambu takes place this week. The club will launch with a massive opening week of events from Wednesday 12th May to Sunday 16th May.
The nightclub, formerly known as Blu Bambu, has had a lavish overhaul that will cement its’ position as Newcastle’s premier nightclub. Based in the bustling Bigg Market, the newly renovated Bambu caters for a fun loving crowd, including students, locals and out-of-towners, as well as stag and hen parties.
The brand new line-up of nights ensures that there is something for everyone, with entertainment the number one priority.
Bambu is also proud to introduce ‘Party Pods’– the North East’s first karaoke pods with two individual pods available for private hire. You and your friends can be the stars of the night in your own private, premium Party Pod. Equipped with the latest technology and over 4000 songs to choose from, the pods can accommodate up to 16 people. There’s even a video facility to record your performances which you can take home on a personalised USB stick.
A top entertainment agency has been enlisted to ensure round the clock entertainment for the launch from the moment you arrive. Including a giant Globot with the latest robot pyrotechnics – Bambu offers an unrivalled night out you’ll be talking about for ages.
A fun and stylish party environment has been created for guests along with a brand new VIP section which also acts as a pre-bar to the club. There’s an all new cocktail list, including fish bowl cocktails, perfect to share.

The club’s fresh and funky new look combines contemporary styling with a friendly and appealing atmosphere. Safety remains a top priority for the club: the majority of glassware is switching to polycarbonate (unbreakable plastic) and there is a new door team. A tighter door policy will also create a female-friendly, safe and secure atmosphere. The door team will be the first in the North East with ‘head cams’ - the latest in security intelligence.
Bambu’s grand unveiling kicks off with the VIP opening party, in association with IAMVIP, Uloveit, Jagermeister and Monster, on Wednesday 12th May. SKINT: Thursdays - Launching on Thursday 13th May and continuing every Thursday, Skint - particularly popular with students - has found a new home in the funky surroundings of Bambu!
METRO: Fridays - On Friday 14th May Metro Radio will start broadcasting Bambu’s DJs and PAs live across the North East and this will continue every Friday.
BLUSH: Saturdays - Female-friendly with an array of cocktails to choose from, Blush promises fantastic PAs and entertainment. The night will launch with a live PA from boy band ‘Five’ on Saturday 15th May, followed by Ashley Taylor-Dawson AKA Darren Osbourne from Hollyoaks on Saturday 22nd May, and Ciaran aka Mickey Maguire from Shameless on Saturday 29th May.
RYHTHM FACTORY: Sundays - Sunday nights see the launch of Rhythm Factory, the perfect way to complete your weekend, with the best entertainment in Newcastle. Rhythm Factory promises lots of exciting PAs and the sexiest male and female dancers in the City.
